Vandell\u00f2s, inland, but not too far from the sea, is only 270 metres above sea level. However, the town is surrounded by mountains on all four sides and invites you to walk and climb up the mountain to get fabulous views of both the coast and the interior. The old town has a clearly medieval network of streets, and in fact there is already evidence of its existence in the Middle Ages as the Vall del Llorer, from which its name comes. It is not surprising, therefore, that its history tells us of ancient times, of battles and even of prehistoric men who left news of their passage in caves and caves recognised as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.<\/p>
