L'Hospitalet will revive through his medieval past with a market this weekend

The 20th edition of the Medieval Market will be held on 4th, 5th and 6th of September
  
The 4th, 5th and 6th of September in L'Hospitalet de l'Infant the 20th edition of the Medieval Market, at around old town and Gothic hospital. This edition will feature a hundred stalls where you can buy supplies and heraldic decoration, supplements, herbs, natural cosmetics, sausages, sweets and wooden toys and ingenuity.

Market on Friday the 4th of September will open at 19 am in the Plaza Catalunya and Sunday the 6th of September will close at 22 pm in the Plaza Berenguer d'Entença, with a performance by the Ball de Diables and  The Group Tabalers de l'Hospitalet.

There will also be parades and musical rounds, traveling shows, an exhibition and falconry show (Saturday at 24:15 19h, and Sunday at 12h and 19h in the Plaza Berenguer d'Entença); and demonstrations of various trades (potter, shoemaker, mattress, basket maker, tinsmith and glassblower). As incentives, the children will have free workshops in the offices of the Plaza del Pou a children's play area across the street from the station and you can see geese strolling through the area.

On the 5th of Saturday, also, it will be the medieval dinner, which will be entertained with the show 'Cirkifoc' Toniton of the Company in the Plaza Berenguer d'Entença. Those interested in attending can already buy tickets at the tourist offices for a fee of 10 euros adults; and 6 euros for children.

The 20th Medieval Market will be complemented by a cuisine that shall make available to people several restaurants in town through a medieval menu at affordable prices (from 13.95 to 23 euros).

These attractive Medieval Market itself, there is also the stage where the event is organized: around the ancient Hospital del Coll de Balaguer, dating back to 1344 and has been declared a National Cultural Interest. On the façade of this monumental projects this summer, every Friday and Saturday at 22h, an audiovisual show (mapping) with motion effects, and 3D sound effects and music, in which the history of the area is counted and construction and renovation of the building.

The City Council especially welcomes the participation and involvement of local entities and neighbors in this celebration. And, besides traders that will be present in the market and restaurateurs who offer medieval menus, there are acts that will programmed by village associations, as have highlighted the Councillor for Commerce, Miguel Angel Garces; and the Councillor for Culture, Nuria Ortiz.

Specifically, the Centre d'Estudis de l'Hospitalet de l'Infant has organized a conference entitled 'Scriptorium. Medieval codices' for Thursday the 3th of September, at 19:30, in the Exhibition Hall Infant Pere (plaza Pou, 11), to be given by the historian Oscar L. Pinto; and the Diables and the Group Tabalers de l'Hospitalet de l'Infant star in the closing ceremony of the Market, Sunday, the 6th of September, at 22h, in the Berenguer d'Entença square.
