20th Iberian Weekend | The exploitation of natural resources 2,200 years ago!

This festival, the only one of l’any, is organized by the Ruta dels Ibers, project of the Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya, which will discover what life was like for more than 2,200 years in our lands. Trobareu an advanced society with cities, towns, fortresses ... that trade with grecs, fenicis and romans, and from which they have arrived molts vestigis (from the seves cases, the seva vaixella, the seus amulets, the seves joguines! some enigmes, with the script that faces not hem dexifrat ...

It is a fun way to introduce you to ibers: historical reconstructions, experience workshops, guided visits and theater, exhibitions, tasts of menjar and Iberian beguda ... In addition, in each edition the Cap de Setmana Ibèric proposes an immersion in the Iberian society from a different point of view. Enguany, trobareu moltes activitats per conèixer l'exploitation that feien the ibers of the natural resources of the seu environment and that utilitzaven in the seva daily life: stone and whip for the seves construccions, argiles per fer ceràmiques, agriculture, branches, hunting of wild animals, metals to make their tools and weapons…

The Iberian Weekend is a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover our past, explained first hand by some of the best archaeologists in the country.

Old and young, you will find some of the Iberian villages on the Route close to home, where you can experience what life was like more than 2,200 years ago, stroll through spectacular enclaves and marvel at unique finds! The sites of the Iberian Route will be partying all over the territory.
