The way up to la Llena and l’Ermita de Sant Blai (first of the GR routes)
This is a 6.7 km long circular route with an uphill elevation change of 445 m, 61.1 % path and one water point in the final section. It coincides, partly, with the GR-7 (red and white mark).
The route starts in Avinguda de Catalunya street in front of la Llena street. From there, you must take the path that goes up the Camí de la Llena, main connection with the mountain of Tivissa and with some cobbled sections. The last section is specially bendy and, from there, you can see the coves de la Llena Caves. Once n the top and looking north, you can see the Village of Tivissa, a big part of Priorat region, the Montsant, and, in clear days, you can even see the highest peaks of the Pyrenees.
Once in la Llena hill, you must take the detour on the left following the path which goes down to the Coll de Monetze from where you keep on the same track until the Dentall hill. From this hill you must continue taking the detour on the right and following the asphalted path until the hermitage of Sant Blai. Here, in the year 1975, the first marking of the GR routes was made. This makes it the origin of these paths net. Following the path you will get Sant Blai Spring from where you continue walking until you get to a detour where you will have to leave the path and take the path on the right. Following it you will get to Tivissa.
