The 6th edition of the Vandekames, the sporting event mountain designed for families to enjoy organized by the Centre Cultural, Esportiu i Recreatiu de Vandellòs and Centre Excursionista Serres del Mestral, with the support of the City of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant and several companies are will be held on Friday, August 5 and Saturday 6 August.

Specifically, on Friday, Aug. 5, at 22 am, will begin demanding race, the Ultra Vandekames, which in this second edition will score for the Catalan Cup Racing ultraendurance of the Federació d’Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya (FEEC); and Saturday August 6, the remaining races, ie, black, red, blue, yellow and green.

As every year, there will be news in all races, as organizers said Tuesday May 3 night, at the official presentation of the event, which took place in Ca la Torre de Vandellòs. Thus, the Ultra Vandekames will have a longer stroke (104 kilometers instead of 85, and 6,500 meters of positive vertical drop, rather than the 5,200 last year), which will visit many of the iconic parts of the municipality of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant and enter the terms of Pratdip and Tivissa, to provide participants with a spectacular and also demanding circuit.

It will also be the longest black path circuit, which will increase from 28 km last year at 41, to be a true mountain marathon; and the red circuit, as this will be part of the circuit 2016 Circuit de Curses per Muntanya del Camp de Tarragona(will be the sixth points race) will have 21 kilometers instead of 18.

Unlike last year, too, the blue route, 15.4 kilometers, can be done either walking or running and also have a competitive nature. The yellow circuit, however, will continue to walk mode, but will increase the degree of difficulty to meet the requests of the participants, who asked to walk use would challenge for people starting out.

For the organizers of the Vandekames, however, the "showpiece" will remain green career or Vandekids aimed at the smallest of the house.
