Cabrafiga Route

Cabrafiga Route

The Cabrafiga Route is a 9.5 km circular trail starting and ending in the village of Pratdip. The route leads to the summit of Puig de Cabrafiga, over 600 metres high, offering magnificent panoramic views over the Camp de Tarragona region. On the way down, hikers reach the Castellet de les Mugues, an ancient anti-piracy fortification built on the remains of an Iberian settlement. Its strategic location is explained by the outstanding views stretching from Cap Salou to Coll de Balaguer.

From the Pont de les Valls, the route enters the forest and, on the right, follows a path that climbs to Puig de Cabrafiga via the Portell dels Grauets. It then descends through the Coll de la Fita de la Partió to Els Meners and continues to the Castellet de les Mugues. The trail reaches the road through the Grauets de les Mugues and passes beneath the bridge. The return to the village follows a path running parallel to the ravine. After rainfall, some sections may contain significant amounts of water.
